How do I create a photography invoice?
- The shoot: date, place and what it was.
- The session fee on its own line, so the client sees what your time cost.
- Final images counted, like 14 at $45, or a package at quantity 1.
- Extras on their own lines: rush delivery, prints, travel.
- The usage license, in the notes.
Write the usage license in plain words
Say who may use the photos, where, for how long, and what needs permission. It answers later questions, like “Can we put it on a billboard?”
In the US, the photographer owns the copyright unless they took the photos as the client’s employee or signed it over in writing. This is not legal advice.
How do I bill a booking fee?
On its own invoice, as Invoice Maker has no deposit line. Bill the rest after the shoot.
