A square is 100 square feet of roof, so a 2,400 square foot roof is 24 squares. The sample bills tear-off on 24 squares, and shingles and underlayment on 26 to cover waste. ## What if the decking is rotten? Agree a price per sheet before tear-off, photograph what you replace, and bill the real count. ## How do I bill an insurance job? Use the adjuster's units, keep photos, and put the claim number in the notes. ## When is a roofing invoice due? Often on completion. Choose Due on receipt and the PDF prints “Due on receipt” instead of a date.
