## What is 0.625 in inches?

0.625" is 5/8". For any decimal, multiply by 16 to get sixteenths: 0.625 × 16 = 10, so 10/16", or 5/8".

## Where is 3/8 on a tape measure?

3/8" is 6/16": the sixth small mark past the inch on a 1/16" tape, at 0.375" or 9.525 mm.

## How do I round a decimal to the nearest mark?

Multiply by 16 and round: 0.3" × 16 = 4.8, which rounds to 5, so 0.3" is about 5/16". The last table does 0.05" to 0.95".

## How do I turn millimeters into inches?

Divide by 25.4: an inch is exactly 25.4 mm. 10 mm is 0.393701", which is 3/8" to the nearest sixteenth.

## How do I turn inches into decimal feet?

Divide by 12: 7-3/8" is 7.375 ÷ 12 = 0.6146 ft. The second table does every 1/8" to 11-7/8".
